About Printed Employer Handbooks
The online PDFs of the Handbook found above are updated more often than printed Handbooks. New printed Handbooks became available in 2011. Since that time, the following updates have been made to the online Handbook:
- In Section 3, employees of the Iowa Economic Development Authority hired on or after July 1, 2011, were added to the list of positions eligible to elect out of IPERS coverage.
- In Section 4, workers' compensation payments were added to the list of exclusions from covered wages.
- In Section 4, the first paragraph under Workers' Compensation and Disability was edited to clarify that workers' compensation payments are not covered.
