Key to the overall health of the IPERS Trust Fund, this small staff of investment professionals, most of whom have achieved the highly respected chartered financial analyst or certified public accountant designation, oversee IPERS’ investment program. Staff, working with IPERS’ investment consultants, advise the IPERS Investment Board on asset allocation, investment policies and strategies, and contractor selection.

Additionally, IPERS investment staff implement the policies and plans approved by the Board. They negotiate and manage detailed contracts that direct the activities of the investment managers and monitor the performance of IPERS’ investment portfolio of over $20 billion.
