When the Iowa Legislature is in session January-April, you can keep up to date on any pending legislation that may affect the IPERS Plan. There are links to the actual bills being considered, along with position papers on the bills which explain IPERS’ point of view.

11-9-09 CEO Mueller, Actuary Pat Beckham, and Chief Investment Officer Karl Koch updated the legislative Public Retirement Systems Committee on IPERS' funding. Len Cockman, chair of the IPERS Benefits Advisory Committee, presented the BAC's recommendations. IPERS also discussed extending the study of a shortened bona fide retirement period for licensed health care professionals.
