IPERS retirement counseling in Maquoketa

(DES MOINES) –Public employees in Maquoketa and surrounding areas who are thinking about retirement can meet with an IPERS representative October 27–29, 2008, in Maquoketa. IPERS provides pensions for teachers, city and county workers, state agency staff, and other government employees.

Counseling is by appointment only. IPERS members planning to retire in three to five years should attend. IPERS will provide an individualized estimate of benefits at the appointment. Those interested need to call 1-800-622-3849 by October 15, 2008. All appointments will be at the Comfort Inn, 1910 Nairn Drive, Maquoketa.
